A woman with her son was sitting in the internet shop, eating Nasi Padang. The boy was beating and pinching his mother, one spoon Nasi, one pinch. His mother was talking with the customers while holding her son's hand and asking, "Mau Apa, Mau Apa?" I would feel the pain of the pinches but loving to see a mother's patience. She came to me, "Mau Apa Mister?" She asked. 8 GB Indosat Berapa? I asked. Yag Lag, she said in Hazaragi. Oh Mahal 4 GB, I said. Char GB? Ok Boleh! Boleh! with a smile. Short story, fiction. Del, Sade. "The Uncalled Guest." the archipelago, 15 June 2020, https://www.thearchipelago.org/the-uncalled-guest/.

Ali has the phone number of an old neighbor who lives in Indonesia now. He is not sure to ask help from that man or we explore the city by ourselves. We finally call that man. He gets surprised when he hears we are in Jakarta. Before we ask help, he says he has to go and quickly says goodbye. We just heard this word from him that they live in Bogor. We repeat the word to not forget it, 'Bogor, Bogor, Bogor.' Short story, fiction. Sepid, Helma. "The Red Sky." the archipelago, 15 June 2020, https://www.thearchipelago.org/the-red-sky/.

Only frogs mourn around me;
their sonorous croaks are
composing in cacophony
a dirge for me,
which matches
my cloudy heart. Poetry. Haidari, Abdul Samad. The Red Ribbon. Gramedia, 2019, p.122.
